Incompetent thespians tread the boards,

At Rattlepike's attempts at verse.
Tonight on this illustrious stage,
Comes comedy with cruel carnage.

The famous actor-manager Quentin de Borghe is touring with his troupe of Has-been and Wannabe actors, the glamorous and the hopeless, promoting his unique and controversial theory on the origins of William Shakespeare's plays.

But is there complete harmony in the company?
It seems not. Bitter undercurrents of jealousy and hatred emerge as the evening progresses until finally it all boils over in dramatic murder.
